The State Electronics Challenge

The State Electronics Challenge (SEC) is a free program that encourages state, regional, tribal, and local governments, including schools and other public entities, to purchase greener electronic office equipment; reduce the impacts of computers and imaging equipment during use; and manage obsolete electronics in an environmentally-safe way.

The Problems

Government agencies and organizations participate as "Partners" in the SEC program. The SEC provides Partners with resources and technical assistance for implementing best practices, and offers annual recognition to Partners that have achieved program goals. However, NERC was using lengthy paper forms to gather data from SEC Partners, which made it extremely difficult to provide accurate reporting and analysis.

The Solutions

Leelyn Solutions provided enhanced online Partner registration, data submission, and reporting.
